Near Union Square, this duplex apartment required a full facelift. New quartersawn oak floors, a new stainless steel and wood spiral stair, and a low, sleek kitchen with concrete countertops combine to achieve a subtle, minimal aesthetic. DFA selected all of the furnishings, designed custom planters and built-in table for the terrace, and advised in the selection of artwork adorning the walls.
