The original program for this bar and restaurant in Burlington, Vermont was that of the quintessential après-ski bar. During the design process, the bar owners revised their aesthetic program to that of urban chic. A sixteen-foot long floating steel and glass counter was installed in the middle of the space, chainmail was used to enclose the stair to the basement, and a painted plywood floor with aluminum strips was installed to create this urban, sophisticated environment.
